What is the anchor, stretch, anchor method? The anchor stretch anchor method in kinesiology taping involves applying the tape with specific stretches and anchor points to achieve desired effects. Anchors are the starting and ending points of the tape application, always applied with zero stretch. This technique begins by applying the initial 2 inches of tape without any stretch to create the first anchor point. Next, the tape is stretched to the desired level of stretch while adhering it to the skin. Finally, the last 2 inches of the tape are secured without any stretch, forming the second anchor point.
